Akiyoshi Hongou

Akiyoshi Hongou is credited on all relevant media as the creator of the original concept and character designs for the Digimon franchise. However, nothing is known about Hongou as an individual.

Akiyoshi Hongo actually is a pseudonym which actually combines the names of three people. Aki Maita, the co-creator of Tamagotchi, Hiroshi Izawa, the author of the first Digimon manga and Takeichi Hongo, who was the director of marketing at Bandai.
