XEBEC Inc. (株式会社ジーベック) was a former Japanese anime production company. It was a wholly owned subsidiary of IG Port Co., Ltd.

In 1994, Production I.G and Ashi Productions jointly produced the TV anime "BLUE SEED", and on May 1, 1995, the company was established in Kokubunji, Tokyo, as a subsidiary of Production I.G. The company was founded by three staff members: Shimoji Shizuo, a director who was the production producer of Ashi Productions, Sato Toru (Jiro Nankyoku), who was in charge of literature, and Habara Nobuyoshi, an animator.

On October 3, 1995, the company produced its first work, "Bakuretsu Hunters". In 1996, the company produced "Let's & Go!!" and "Martian Successor Nadesico". After the production of "Let's & Go!!", the company continued to do business with Shogakukan and Shogakukan Shueisha Productions, and produced many animation works related to game software and toys tied up with Shogakukan's "CoroCoro Comic".

On September 4, 1999, the company produced "Zoids". They achieved a fusion of hand-drawn animation and 3DCG. In 2002, they established Triple A Co., Ltd. in Tanashi-cho, Nishitokyo-shi, Tokyo as an affiliated company.

In 2003, they welcomed Hideyuki Motohashi, formerly of Studio Z5, and established the production studio "XEBEC M2" in Seki-cho, Nerima-ku, Tokyo. "Peto Peto-san" (2005) was produced as a prime contractor under the name of XEBEC M2.

In 2005, they dissolved their capital relationship with Triple A by selling their shares[3]. On April 8, 2006, they produced their first full-length 3DCG work, "Sarugetchu: On Air".

On November 1, 2007, they became a consolidated subsidiary of the holding company IG Port when Production I.G became a holding company.

In 2009, XEBEC M2 was dissolved when Motohashi left the company. Some of the staff were transferred to the Nerima studio "XEBECzwei" (Shakujiidai, Nerima-ku, Tokyo).
