After Kiril installs the Capri AI datashard into his daughter Talia, Talia learns that Kiril actually murdered her mother, Avida. Overcome with a desire for vengeance, Talia (fused with Capri's powers) embarks on a violent rampage to execute her father. As Talia chases Kiril, the corporate higher-ups at Kang Tao decide he is no longer viable and orchestrate a plan to lure both of them into the Badlands to execute an airstrike, aiming to wipe out Capri before rival corporations can seize the AI. Desperate to stop the airstrike, the scientist Kyoko detonates a massive electromagnetic pulse (EMP) bomb. The blast successfully fries the incoming corporate missiles and shuts down all electronics in the area, including Kiril’s Kang Tao transport vehicle. The resulting explosion and chaotic physical impact send massive pieces of metal debris flying. Kiril's vehicle is completely wrecked, and half of his face and body are crushed under the vehicle and falling debris, killing him instantly.
