Kawase "Yumi" Umihara

Special Skill: Can swallow pills without drinking water Umihara Kawase is the titular protagonist from the "Umihara Kawase" game series, and she also appears as a playable character in the games "Blade Strangers", "Crystal Crisis" and "COTTOn Rock'n'Roll: Superlative Night Dreams". Kawase is a tomboyish young girl with a calm and easygoing personality. She is a traveling Japanese sushi chef looking for different and exotic species of seafood which she can use as ingredients for her sushi recipes. She uses a oversized pink backpack and a rubber fishing line during her travels and adventures. In both the one-shot and the manga, Kawase possesses the mysterious powers to breathe underwater and communicate with marine creatures. In the most recent games, she is voiced by Ayumi Jimbo.
