Bondarev

Bondarev is a mysterious hybrid who is suspected to be the puppet-master behind Herzog's plans. In 1990 he arrived at Black Swan Bay, claiming to be an agent of the falling Soviet Union and a descendant of the Romanov family, who wanted to provide Herzog with funding to continue his research. Before they evacuated the facility, Bondarev shot Herzog and escaped with his research and some of his embryos. He ordered his men to recover the corpse of a dragon and extracted an embryo from its carcass. The corpse was reanimated under Lu Mingze's orders and flew away from The Lenin, the ship in which they were carrying it. Bondarev sunk the Lenin in the Japanese trench to offer the embryo to the eight-headed snake as food. He also researched evolution drugs and a method to transform into a reborn White Dragon Emperor. All of this was intended by Bondarev to be found by Herzog. Herzog eventually found a man who went through plastic surgery to look Japanese and mistook him for Bondarev. After he killed the man, Herzog assumed Bondarev was dead and took over his identity and research. Just as planned, Herzog transformed into the White Dragon Emperor, although momentarily, before being killed by the Secret Party. The Dragon's remains were later consumed by Odin.
