Atalanta was born human, a descendant of the Arcadian Royal Family. Her parents were Prince Iasus of Arcadia and his wife Clymene, a daughter of Minyas, founder of Orchomenus in Boeotia. She was strong except for having a weak spot for her love, Meleager.
