Otomi Murai

Otomi Murai is the daughter of Hansuke Murai. She passes Sanshiro on a rainy day and becomes friends with him when he buys her a replacement pair of geta (wooden clogs) with a broken snare strap. When she learns that the young man is her father's opponent, her heart is torn to pieces. He is also attracted to Higaki, his father's apprentice, but he hates him.
