An honest and gentle upperclassman, with an articulate personality. She handles the cooking and security of the base. She is very serious and calm and is always able to keep her cool. She is also the class representative and she is used to handling unreasonable requests from her classmates. Aoi is from a different middle school than Takuma and Minoru.
Aoi sees herself as unreliable, so relies on the support of Labramon, who has a unfaltering and friendly personality. Her responsible and den-motherly nature leads her to become the de-facto leader of the group following Takuma's disappearance.

In the wrathful route, after seeing Saki Kimishima die, Aoi's mental health takes a turn for the worst. She blames herself for her death, convincing herself she had had let go on purpose since she was jealous of her (with this not being the case, as Saki had let go and sacrificed herself to save Aoi) and decides that to atone for killing Saki she would save everyone else's lives to make up for it. She decides she never wants to see anyone ever die again and wants everyone in the world to become friends so no one would ever get hurt again. This causes her to heal Piedmon in a mistaken assumption that he would befriend her as thanks which results in her fusing with Labramon to become Plutomon when on the verge of death at Piedmon's hands. She then decides that she would fuse with every single living being, since if everyone is fused together as one no one would ever be able to be hurt again.
