Since he and Shiho were always together, Aki started liking her. However, he heard Shiho saying that she didn't see him as a boy, and as a result, he started to hate women.
However, Shido later admits that she did in fact like him, but denied it because she was embarrassed. Because of the long seperation, when she confesses to him, she is rejected, since Aki has come to like Tsumugi.
