About
Park Kyung-hye is Sung Jin-woo's mother.
Kyung-hye is a very selfless and loving woman who cares about her children more than anything else, as shown when she asked Jin-woo as to how Jin-ah was doing almost immediately after waking up from her four-year coma.
When Il-hwan went missing on a raid ten years prior to the start of the story, Kyung-hye refused to believe that he was dead and took to raising their children by herself.
Around four years before the start of the story, Kyung-hye began to show symptoms of an mana-induced sleeping disorder known as Eternal Slumber. As there was no cure, and it was only a matter of time before she wouldn't be able to stay conscious anymore, she made Jin-woo promise to take care of Jin-ah when the disease's full effects set in. When the inevitable moment arrived and she fell into a coma, Jin-woo decided to follow in his father's footsteps and pursue a career in hunting in order to support both himself and his sister, as well as pay for his mother's hospital bills.

After clearing the 75th floor of the Demon Castle, Jin-woo stumbled upon a recipe for the Holy Water of Life, a potion that could cure any ailment. He managed to craft six bottles of the potion and used one on his mother; as expected, it not only cured her of Eternal Slumber, but it also cured her of any muscle decay that she suffered during her coma.

Sometime between the raid and the funeral held for the hunters who died in the raid, Jin-woo revealed to his mother that he had taken up hunting and become a world-class hunter in her absence. Kyung-hye, knowing full well that she couldn't exactly stop her son given how much he'd grown when she was gone, told him that she was fine with him continuing to work as a hunter, but made him promise not to push himself too much.
