His looping ability goes forward in time after each loop which forces him to be careful of the event horizon.

His looping ability is enabled by his right eye, an artifact that can interfere time and parallel worlds. This eye originally belonged to Haine. It was given to him by Ushio's shadow from a future parallel world. Ushio was the original owner of the eye, having been split off from haine.
