The father of the late Tomoya Ogino, a five year old boy who died from appendicitis three years prior to the events of Once-A-Month Present Threat Case.

He was the one who sent all those presents to Dr. Ogawa, but not in gratitude but with grudge and hate two years after his son's death whom he blamed the doctor for, even though it was too late to save him. After sending his final gift, Ogino went to pick up Dr. Ogawa's son, Yuuta from kindergarten. Under the pretence that he would bring Yuuta to a "fun place", Ogino pulled out a knife out of his jacket with the attempt to end Yuuta's life on the same day, at the same age Tomoya died, and pay Ogawa by using Yuuta's insurance money. Conan was able to stop the murder by using his Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes to kick a nearby soccer ball towards Ogino. After Ogino saw Yuuta's gratitude for the toys, he was reminded of his son causing him to break down and admit that he knew Tomoya's death wasn't really the doctor's fault. Ogawa however forgave Ogino and decided not to call the police, citing that, as a father, he understood how devastating it is to lose a son.
